Rights towards legal tenant?

We are a couple and are new to the Netherlands. I will write this in English, sorry that I cannot speak/write Dutch (I'm learning).
We are a couple rented a house under temporary contract for 1.5 years. All the taxes, utilities/garbage taxes are still under landlord's name. Nothing is converted under my name. I only pay the monthly rental. I don't even have visibility on the utility usages.
And we are expecting our first child to be born in coming days/weeks. We need help with the baby, and we need parents to stay with us for about 2 months after childbirth. Therefore we have got sponsor documents approved from gemeente. And my wife's parents got visas valid for around 90 days.
Now the landlord is making a big trouble saying that parents can stay only maximum of 2 weeks with us. The contract does mention that "The leased property is exclusively intended to be used as living space for a maximum of 2 person(s), this by the person who is stated as the tenant in this lease". They also said to me that for safety reasons, it is not allowed 2 visitors to stay/overnight in the apartment for a longer period of time. But my parents are temporary visitors. And we are in a difficult situation.

This is not the first time they are making this kind of issues. They are harassing us in every possible way. They once entered the house by force. Also they want to visit the apartment every month just to check if we keep it clean and not messed up. They even don't want us to keep lots of food on the kitchen top.

What are my rights as a legally registered tenant. Can I have my parents staying overnight for 2 months in this apartment? Please advice.
