Parental leave for parent working abroad
I was living in the Netherlands from 2017 to september 2022. In 2019 I started working for a company and have a permanent contract. In september 2022 I agreed with my company that I would work remotely from Portugal permanently with the same Dutch contract temporarily, since the idea was to move my contract to the portuguese branch eventually. Time has passed and the contract was never updated, so I've been paying taxes and still pay for the health insurance in the Netherlands. My girlfriend has become pregnant and I've asked my company for the parental leave, but they're not sure whether or not I have rights to the parental leave as I've been working for more than 180 days from outside the Netherlands. In this case, do I have the right to have parental leave?
