I am facing a potential tenancy dispute with my landlord. On Sunday, I came back from work and I discovered that my studio had no electricity. I immediately contacted the emergency number and reported the malfunction. I explained that there are numerous reasons why the malfunction should be resolved immediately (final revision before the exam, cooking, shower, products on the fridge, the survival of my beautiful betta fish, etc). They told me that the 'technician' found the malfunction, not 'urgent' and consequently they would take care of it the following morning. Long story short, the malfunction was restored the next day at 13:15. The previous night I had to contact some friends to find a place to stay and to take care of myself as well find a place to take the exam. I emailed the manager of the building informing him about the situation and asking him if he is aware of it, as well as letting him know that I will seek legal advice. His response was 'Good Luck'. I read the tenancy agreement and I am pretty sure that the landlord is liable for the malfunctions that the tenant cannot foresee or manage. The electrical power table is located in an area that I, as a tenant do not have access. Moreover, I saw the manager of the building coming, unlocking the door which reveals the electrical power table and just switching up the fuse(s). In 1 sec I had electricity again. I suffered all the above mentioned while the problem would be resolved in 1 second. I am really asking for your help.
