How do I get my landlord to meet their obligations?
I have a major plumbing issue in my apartment where my kitchen sink, dishwasher, and mashing machine are unsuable. I am unable to cook, clean, or weash my clothes. My landlord and her hired building manager have been unresponsive. I would like to know what rights I have, whether I can force the issue so they can conduct the emergency repairs. Or what steps must be taken to legally withhold rent until they resolve the issue or deduct the rerpairs from my rent. I have already paid a plumber 243 euros to make repairs and it has not worked. I only moved in 3 months ago and the plumber said there was many months worth of food build up so this issue seems to have existed before I moved in. Please let me know how to proceed from here?
Main question is did you lack duties on your part, where exactly is the issue in the pipes? If you are sure this is a issue of the verticale pipings the Landlord needs to receive a legal notice saying there is a rental defect and you must give him 7 days to fix it.
