Do I need to pay Gementee money ?

In October 2021 the restaurant for which I worked at, declared bankruptcy (due to the new Covid restrictions and they could not afford to stay open any longer). It came as a huge shock. I went to work that day as normal and then in the evening we were announced this news and that we would no longer be working here. Our salaries and contracts were now in the hands of the OWV. They would proceed to pay our salary slips (or at least a large percentage) for another 2 to 3 months. However because the payments were very late, I did not receive my last salary slip from the OWV until February 2022. I had just started a job on the 1st of February (as I was now very tight for money seeing as the payments had been made so late and I had still to pay all my bills) and naturally signed a contract with loonheffing as this would be my only place of employment. The problem is that when taxes were due I see that I have to pay the Gementee an amount of almost 300 euros- which didnt make sense to me. I was told, after talking to the Gementee and the OWV that because I was technically still employed until I received the last payment from the OVV, that I had technically declared both employments (my new job and the job I lost ages ago) as loonheffing. As a result I owe money to the Gementee. The fact that the payments were made so late is something that was out of my control and has now brought me distressful news. Is there anything I can do to help my case?
