Legal questions about alimony

Questioner

Good afternoon . Just this question. My ex wants an increase of the alimony of our third child after 10 years. Now her lawyer asked for 3 payslips of my monthly salary. Of course I gave them.. Now the lawyer is asking for a printout of a 4th month. I thought three were enough. Because you can keep busy! There are still rules about and/or customs. Can I refuse to hand over this 4th strip? Do you have a calculation of what you should/can pay in alimony to a 17-year-old child? I had a paid job until April 2012, but became ill and will now probably be declared unfit for work in April 2014 I had a stroke, so I may be in the language. Sorry about that.

Lawyer

In principle, the lawyer can ask for how many slips he/she wants. You can give whatever you want. But if the lawyer is not satisfied, he/she will probably consult the judge and provide your income to the judge based on an estimate. There are no standard calculations, it depends on all kinds of circumstances such as the joint income and the needs of your child. You are wise to hire a lawyer so that he/she can assist you optimally and tailor-made. If you do not know a lawyer, call the legal help desk on 0900-8020 or ask your questions directly to me or another lawyer on this site via the direct contact button.
