Right to Vacation Days: What to Do?
Questioner
You get a number of days per year that you can take, you then take vacation from. Now I still have a number of days left and I am not allowed to take them and my boss does not want to pay them either. This is not possible? I am entitled to those days, aren't I? What can I do about this?Lawyer
You are indeed entitled to take your remaining days off. You may carry over any days off that you have not taken to the following year. Statutory vacation days expire six months after the year in which they were accrued. Extra-statutory vacation days have a limitation period of five years, unless other agreements have been made in the collective labor agreement. Perhaps you can convince your employer with this message.Questioner
Pen if you are not allowed to take those days off by your boss? What can I do about it?Lawyer
If that doesn't help, you will need to seek legal assistance.Neem de volgende stap
