Mandatory to provide new home address to landlord?
Questioner
In principle, you do not have to give your new address, as long as you are reachable for the landlord and leave a correspondence address. This is for possible final settlements etc. It is possible that your tenancy agreement states that you must give a new address. It is stated in my lease that I would give my new address. In the meantime, the contact with the landlord has been so disrupted that I no longer want him to know my new address. Nevertheless, I signed for this. My landlord now wants to withhold my deposit if I do not give my new address. What should I do?Lawyer
The landlord may only retain the deposit if there is a rent arrears or if the tenant has caused damage to the rental property. Your landlord may therefore not retain your deposit for this reason. As for the final settlement, this could also be done by email. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your situation further: info@dutchlawadvice.com.Neem de volgende stap
