partner pension equalization divorce?

Questioner

I have a divorce agreement from 2013 which includes an article stating that my lawyer must report the divorce to the relevant pension providers on behalf of the parties using a prescribed form to ensure that I receive a right to payment equal to half of my ex-partner's pension. My ex's retirement date is now approaching and upon inquiry it turns out that this report was not made to 1 (of the 2) pension funds (according to that pension fund). The law firm that represented me at the time no longer exists so I can no longer ask them anything. The divorce was very unpleasant at the time, I do not know where my ex-partner lives and I fear that he will not simply sign the authorization that the relevant pension fund sent to him. The other pension fund probably received timely notice of the divorce from my lawyer because I received an overview from them 4 years ago....... What can I do now to ensure that I simply receive the pension to which I am entitled? Thank you in advance for your advice.

I advise you to contact your pension provider. Usually if it has not been reported, your ex-partner will have to divide the pension in half and transfer it every month.
