Paying for a connection that has not been made?

Questioner

My 82 year old mother signs a contract for 1 year of fiber optic internet, TV and telephone. The technician comes by and indicates that fiber optic is not possible. Then the technician says that we are stuck with it for 1 year, while they do not deliver anything. We have returned the equipment and terminated the contract by telephone and in writing. However, it remains quiet from the company, the only thing they send are invoices, they almost threaten to send a bailiff. We are quite prepared to pay the technician and come to an agreement, but the company is not at home. Today we sent another email to come to an agreement. We do not want to be stuck with something they do not deliver for another year.

Good afternoon, Annoying situation your mother is in. In principle, there is a breach of contract: your mother is expected to pay, but the provider cannot deliver. In such a situation, it cannot be expected that the contract remains in effect. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your case further. Gr, Mr. Mr. S. Leito FerLei Legal 06-49175526
