Legal Advice on Contracts and Leave
Questioner
Good morning, I work 1 day a week and it has happened in the past period that sometimes there is not enough work so that I cannot complete my contract hours. I am now short an hour and 15 minutes. And I am given two options. Either I start earlier next time to complete those hours or it will be deducted from my vacation hours. I wonder if they can oblige me to work one day longer than eight hours or to write it off from my vacation hours. I must add that there is still no collective labor agreement and that they have been negotiating about it since the takeover, but then they often enough still resort to the old collective labor agreement when it suits them. Thanks in advance for the answerLawyer
If you work 8 hours a week and there is occasionally too little work, you may be expected to show some flexibility as a good employee. It is not reasonable that the number of hours worked that is too few is deducted from your leave hours. If your employer offers you the opportunity to compensate your minus hours with work (being overtime), this is reasonable and permitted.Neem de volgende stap
