What can I do to get my mini shetland pony to me?

Questioner

My mini Shetland pony is with my father (my parents are divorced) and my father doesn't allow me to see him and he's not allowed to take him with him. I got my mini shetland pony from the people where I was standing with my own horse at the time, now my father claims that he arranged for me to get it so that it is his. Now I haven't actually seen him since March and I just received a video from someone I know of my mini shetland pony, I personally don't think he looks good, he's only 4/5 years old. Now my question is what can I do to get my mini shetland to me? Do I have to have it in writing that I got him or? Thank you in advance! Kind regards

Lawyer

You must be able to prove that the Shetland pony is your property. Perhaps you can do this by means of a statement from the person who gave you the horse? Then you should summon your father to give the horse to you. If this is not complied with, a procedure could be considered. A summary proceedings procedure if you can prove that there is urgency. If you would like to discuss without obligation, you can call me (06-30575754).

If you are the owner of the miniature shetland pony and your father refuses to give you access to the animal or to hand the animal over to you, you can try to find a solution through negotiation or by using legal procedures. A first step you can take is to try to talk to your father to discuss how the situation can be resolved. If this does not work, you may want to consider seeking help from a mediator or a lawyer. They can advise you on what steps you can take to get your mini shetland pony back to you. It can also help to have proof that you are the owner of the mini shetland. This can be a receipt, for example, or a written statement from the people you got the mini shetland from. If you need help gathering evidence or finding a solution, you can contact the Divorce Shop.
