what does and is the responsibility of an administrator?

Lawyer

An administrator manages the assets of the person under administration. This can be the entire estate, but also a portion thereof. Management means that the administrator is responsible for the financial and practical side of the assets. For example, the administrator can file a tax return, but also apply for (special) assistance, rent allowance or a personal budget (PGB). Once a year and at the end of the administration, the administrator must render an account. He must then be able to demonstrate exactly what he has arranged and spent and provide the evidence thereof. This is done in the presence of the subdistrict court judge. If the person concerned is unable to be present, the administrator will render an account to the subdistrict court judge. The person requesting the guardianship may indicate who should act as guardian. This can be a person or an institution.
