Options for splitting child support and stopping alimony?

Questioner

My ex-partner and I have been co-parenting for 7 months. He immediately stopped the alimony. I myself receive a WIA benefit of almost €800 and he earns about 3.5 times as much. Now he also wants to split the child benefit. I can't find anywhere whether he was allowed to stop the alimony at all and/or whether he is also entitled to the child benefit. My current partner is self-employed with a sole proprietorship and that is not a goldmine after corona and the current crisis. Everything I buy for my son I do with the child benefit. I hope you have an answer for me, thanks in advance for your effort.

In co-parenting, the division of care is different and you will need a recalculation for the maintenance. Completely stopping is certainly not correct in every case. I advise you to request a recalculation. For example at LBIO (https://www.lbio.nl/) and then determine a new maintenance. You can also work with a child account on which you both deposit an amount (according to your ability to pay), from which you pay for things like clothing and sports club. If I read it correctly, there is a good chance that your own ability to pay is minimal and that most of the costs will still have to come from your ex.
