What steps do I take if my ex does not leave the house in the long term?

Recently our relationship ended. (living together, no contract or marriage) Given the current housing market it is difficult to find a home for her and I am afraid that this will take a long time and I am wondering how I can best solve this!

Have agreements already been made about who can stay in the home? Sometimes ex-partners agree to switch, then both temporarily stay in the home and temporarily with third parties, but that is certainly not a pleasant solution in the long term. If it takes too long and the situation becomes untenable, the court can be requested to determine who will have the right to use the home from now on. In doing so, factors such as the presence of children (who will take on the lion's share of the care, whereby it is of course often the case that the children will remain in the home with the parent who cares for them, partly because of school and social contacts), income (who can or cannot continue to pay for the home), work and possibly other factors that are important, such as whether the home has been adapted in connection with medical factors.
