Electricity meter
Questioner
Dear Sir/Madam, I have an electricity meter in my cupboard, this meter is now 12 years old and works fine. I give my meter readings to my supplier every 3 months and this way I know exactly whether my monthly amount is still correct. Now Liander wants to install the 'smart meters' everywhere and I refused that 2 years ago because a) I am smart enough to read these readings myself and b) I heard on TV Radar that there are a lot of complaints about the 'smart meters' such as higher monthly amounts because the meter indicates this, also meters that still work on 3G and in the future everything will be 5G etc. Now I have received another message from Liander that they want to come by again to check the readings. I think this is fine, but I am afraid that they will threaten me again with the 'smart meter'. Now I know that somewhere in the law it says that it is my own meter and that they are not allowed to replace it if I do not want them to because it is behind my door. Can you help me with this article of law so that I can show it to this gentleman. Thanks in advance for your help.Lawyer
What you say is not correct: the meter and the pipework are and remain the property of the network operator. You rent these works/installation.Neem de volgende stap
