Reporting sick in combination with dismissal

Questioner

I got sick Covid, have been on sick leave since September. Work 7.5 hours a week, now 2.5 hours better, 2.5 therapeutic and 2.5 sick. A lot has been going on at work since January. Lawsuit between organization and foster parent and legal steps between parents and organization. I am outside of it, but I get no energy back. Occupational health physician advises another job due to unsafe workplace. I almost have another job. What is the order now: Should I first report better, then resign and work another month 7.5 hours with a big risk of failing? Can I resign and report better on the last day of the month of notice? I still need to have vacation days, that might make a difference... but if I still fail because of all the tension, my new job might fail.

You may also accept another job during illness. In this context, please note any competition and/or relationship clause that you have signed and the applicable notice period. You are not obliged to inform your new employer that you are ill (or what you have), but under certain circumstances it may be risky to conceal that you are ill. If you are better, you should report to your employer. If you are still ill, have quit your current job and your new job would not come through, applying for any benefits could be problematic. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to call me without obligation. You can find my contact details on the profile page.
