Termination of employment contract

Questioner

My employment contract is ending and I am going to hand in my clothing etc. To be on the safe side, I want the employer to sign a receipt statement that also includes the sentence that I owe him nothing further and that he acknowledges this. How do I put that into words? And can I use the phrase 'on behalf of the employer...' if the employer is not there himself but another employee accepts the items? Or can the employer still say that he has not received anything in return? Kind regards,

If you return company goods, it is indeed important that you have a declaration of return signed by the employer. Strictly speaking, the employer can be represented by someone else, but in fact you should have proof that this person is authorised to represent. The declaration of return should preferably include which goods have been returned, so that there can be no misunderstanding about this, and that they are in good condition.
