I would like to know if I can use these products
Questioner
I have an interior webshop and buy my stuff from an interior wholesaler. Now I want to start selling handmade candles. The wholesaler has very beautiful glass lanterns in which I want to pour the candles and sell them. Can I use these glass jars for this or do I need to inform the brand? In principle, anyone who has a card from this wholesaler can buy these products and they are also sold at various stores. Large jars of scented candles are becoming increasingly popular, so I don't want to give the brand any ideas by asking what my idea is and then having them run off with it. The glass jars do not have a brand name on them and are therefore blank of a brand name. I'd love to hear it. Thanks!Lawyer
In principle, once products have been legally marketed and sold, they may simply be resold (this applies at least to Europe, but for products from outside Europe the situation may sometimes be slightly different). Specific product types may require special rules or permits (rules for food products, alcohol, etc.). In the case of branded products, copyright/trademark infringement may also occur if you place photos on your own webshop showing the logo/branded product. You indicate that it concerns unbranded glass jars that you purchased yourself. You could even 'simply' resell these pots. In this case, you are actually making a different/new product out of it. So there is no need to inform the wholesaler or the manufacturer.Neem de volgende stap
