Can my ex-girlfriend claim my rental home?

It is quite a complex question. Unfortunately, my relationship has ended this weekend. But that is another story. Now she says that she wants to claim the rental house we live in through lawyers. When we moved in here 12 years ago, we were on the rental contract together. Due to circumstances, she gave up the house 3 years ago through official documentation from the housing association and returned to the same address six months later. She is now the only resident and nothing else. There are 3 children living here. 2 of her children and 1 of ours together. Can she claim this house or does she have no rights to do so???
