Why is our address linked to a garage that is not ours, according to the municipality of The Hague?

We are trying to arrange a parking permit for Tonystraat 7 in The Hague, but the municipality of The Hague says that this is not possible because the address has 'its own parking space'. This would then be Tonystraat 4-B. This is a garage box across the street that is not ours. The previous owner of our house owned both Tonystraat 7 and Tonystraat 4-B, but we only bought Tonystraat 7 and Tonystraat 4-B (the garage box) was sold to someone else. According to the municipality, number 4-B is linked to our address in the land registry and we must provide a statement from the current owners that we are not allowed to rent a parking space there in order to qualify for a parking permit. We cannot find anything about such a link anywhere and are of the opinion that the municipality should first demonstrate that such a link exists. We would like to demonstrate that there is no connection between Tonystraat 7 and Tonystraat 4-B, but we do not know how to approach this and we cannot find what we would need from the land registry for this. What an annoying situation. The municipality can also conduct its own investigation based on your information and check the situation. Have you received an official decision? Then you can file an objection. Regarding the requested information: Did you buy the house through an estate agent? They may know more. You could also try asking the notary for a statement. At the Land Registry you could request the ownership information of both addresses (2.95 each). Possibly you can then at least prove that you are not the owner.
