What are the (tax) consequences if I act as a postal address for a friend?
Questioner
A friend lives on a boat after a divorce. That is not a formal address. That person can have a postal address with me. Does that have consequences for me? So taxes, waste disposal charges etc? I have a one-person household, a house I own and a job. From all the information I can find on the internet I deduce that this has no consequences, except from the page https://www.scheepvaartkrant.nl/partnerbijdrage/recht-zicht-domicilie-woon-en-briefadres. I would like to hear your answer.Lawyer
This depends on how you do this. If the friend is registered in the normal way, there can indeed be consequences. For example, you are seen as a multi-person household with consequences for allowances/taxes. An official postal address can be requested via the municipality. (Example from the Municipality of Amsterdam https://bit.ly/3llshBC ) In those cases there should be no consequences. Assuming the conditions are met and the person is not staying at the address. To be sure, you could contact your municipality.Neem de volgende stap
