I re-registered with MijnSportschool in October 2021, where I had already been registered before but was forced to deregister because the gym had to close due to the 'corona pandemic'. I could easily deregister at the time because I had been registered for more than a year. Because it was possible to exercise again this year and I did not have the impression that the gym would close again, I registered again in October. But because of the new measures, I now have to be vaccinated or tested 4 times a week to be allowed into the gym. If I do not have a corona access pass, I am not welcome either. So I wanted to deregister again. I contacted MijnSportschool several times and after finally receiving an answer. I received an email that the payments would continue as normal and that my contract could only be terminated next year. But I did not agree that I could only come and train if I got vaccinated or tested. So I am forced to pay, but I am not allowed to use the services for which I pay. provided that I have a corona access pass. That is not what I signed up for and given the situation I think that MijnSportschool should make exceptions for members who do not want to be vaccinated for whatever reason. So I also feel very ripped off, just like many other members who have gone before me and ended up in the same situation. And I think it is scandalous that MijnSportschool treats its members like this. What are the steps I can take to terminate the contract anyway? because I refuse to pay MijnSportschool for another year if I cannot even exercise there.

At this time, there are no known statements about whether it is possible to cancel a subscription because someone does not have a QR code. The situation is different than before because the gyms are now open. However, they are obliged to check for a QR code. This is something that they, like you, did not ask for. Because the situation is still new, it is not clear how everything will take shape. For example, there are already gyms that offer the possibility to freeze the contract during this period. My advice would be to first ask if you can freeze your subscription. At the moment it is not yet clear whether the QR code will still be mandatory for gyms in the new year.
