Am I bound by a relationship clause?

I have a contract with my employer for the position of Functional Manager and have been seconded to a client on behalf of my employer. Now in 2019 I have moved to a new position at the same client. To what extent does the relationship clause still apply? This is because I want to start my own business and also want to follow through with the job, whatever the customer wants. This is what I found as a statement of the Supreme Court: The Supreme Court has ruled that if there is a change of function, the relationship clause loses its validity if: there is a major change of function (for example, the change of function was not foreseen when the employee accepted the clause)
