Wages are paid too late

Questioner

Hi, I started working for a temporary employment agency in early September. I have a fixed-term phase A contract (6 months) with weekly payment. It's been 3 weeks now and I haven't been paid yet. I now get a call or a message every week saying: "I see that something went wrong with the payment again. We've booked it now. You'll get it next week." However, this is like week 2 that they are late and have not booked my hours and I fear that I will not be paid on time next week either. I want to know if I am entitled to an urgent payment or a pay rise. I have never experienced anything like this and would like to move on. Can you help me?

If your employment contract does not contain any provisions regarding possible extension of the payment term, you are often entitled to an increase in the wages that were paid too late. This can quickly amount to a 50 percent increase in the wages paid too late. Unless the employer can demonstrate that the late payment was really not his fault.
