What can we do as employees?

Questioner

I am an employee of a foundation with a foundation board. One of our colleagues was suspended after a minor employment conflict. After advice from our confidential physician, she indicated that she wanted to resolve the conflict with a mediator. The board did not agree to this and her salary was also stopped. The case has now been brought before the subdistrict court. The judge's ruling was, in short, that the salary must continue to be paid and the board must enter into discussions with a mediator. The board now does not agree with this and is appealing. In the meantime, we as colleagues are a bit fed up with it. The conflict was not on the work floor but with one board member who is present at a distance. Since we work for a foundation, we do not have much say, but our trust in this person is no longer there. Can we cancel the trust, or is there something else we can do. We would like to continue with our colleague. Yours sincerely,

Lawyer

Your colleague will need a lawyer for the appeal. She can contact me for this. It is important not to wait too long. If there is a summary judgment, the appeal period is only 4 weeks. It is possible that your colleague will also want to appeal. It is possible that a response must be given to the court of appeal within a certain period. Regarding your relationship with the board member, perhaps a conversation or even mediation could provide a solution. If you would like to discuss this dispute without obligation, you can also call me (without obligation).
