Question about collection agency message/collection costs

I received an email from Intrum debt collection in February this year, I responded to that email and then never got a response from them. Now today (28-7-2021) I received the same email again, but now the bill was suddenly 60 euros higher (collection costs) because I did not respond, while I can prove that I did respond. Am I obliged to pay the extra 60 euros since it was their mistake?

The relevant thing is whether you still owe the debtor anything. If so, you could propose to pay or, if that is not possible, propose a payment arrangement (if that is possible). In that case, you could possibly prevent further rising collection costs. But of course I do not know your position on whether or not the claim is owed.
