How far should a bamboo be planted from the property line?

My neighbor has placed a bamboo close to the property line. My log cabin is 25 cm from the property line. Now the bamboo is growing in my log cabin and has caused gaps and the wind is blowing through it. The log cabin was placed by a certified company and I have never had any problems with wind blowing through the wall. What can I do about this? The neighbor refuses to do anything

There are two legal issues here: the first is that bamboo is too close to the property boundary unless your municipality permits bushes, shrubs and hedges within a distance of less than 50 cm. Then you have problems with the roots or growing branches, which cause damage. You may cut off and remove the roots and branches yourself after you have written to/spoken to your neighbour.
