What can I claim if the buyers of my house cancel the purchase agreement due to a BKR?

Questioner

The buyers of my house turned out to have a BKR registration after signing the purchase agreement. They had indicated that this was an incorrect registration and a small formality to get it off and that is why they had asked for a 2-week extension. We gave them this on the condition that they would pay the deposit. They never paid the deposit and were therefore put in default. After the 2-week extension was up (and before the extra time (8 days) of the deposit had expired, the buyers asked for an extension again. We did not give them this extension and the purchase agreement was terminated. Afterwards it turned out that they had a BKR coding with code A2, they knew this (according to their letter) in 2020. They have put me in a difficult position, because I also bought a house myself and now have to incur a lot of extra costs. My question is whether I can do or demand something about this?

If the buyers have terminated the purchase agreement within the possibilities provided for in the purchase agreement, you cannot do anything about this.
