What happens to working hours after a fire?

Questioner

There was a fire in our shop on a Wednesday in March. I asked what would happen to us as staff. It was said that everything was arranged for that week and that we would then go to another branch temporarily. But to our surprise, every staff member was deducted a day of vacation for Thursday and Friday. This happened without consultation. The question is whether this is allowed or possible?

Lawyer

a fire, and therefore not being able to work, is a business risk. That is for the employer's account (many employers are also insured for that). He may therefore not deduct hours.

Questioner

Ok that's clear. Thanks a lot for answering my question. I'll take this to my manager
