What can I suggest? Can my employer dismiss me on the spot for this reason?
Questioner
I have been presented with a settlement agreement that I do not agree with. This is due to a relationship that I have with a client/friend of a colleague. He is not divorced on paper and his wife is also a client of my colleague. This feels like a loss of face to my employers and that is why they want to terminate my employment. I work in the fitness industry, have had a one-year contract and the second contract has just been tacitly extended. There is nothing mentioned about relationships. According to my employers this is also a reason for dismissal on the spot, but they do not grant me that. That is why they offered this contract (1 month salary + 900,- euro transition compensation with the right to benefits). Now my question is what to do? Is this indeed a reason for summary dismissal? Or is there more to be gained for me? I have now indicated that I simply want to continue working, but have been immediately suspended. I would like to hear from you,Lawyer
I advise you to discuss this with a lawyer. He or she can defend you if you want to keep your job and do not want to terminate your contract. The reason does indeed seem strange. If you no longer want to work for the gym, the lawyer can also discuss with you whether the compensation they offer can be set higher. If you wish, you can contact our office. We often handle this type of case and would be happy to assist you if you wish.Neem de volgende stap
