Who is responsible for extension maintenance?

We have an extension to our house. The previous owners did that in 1977. Now we only have a deed of division from 1972 and there is nothing in it about the extension. Now our question is who should pay for the roof maintenance of our extension, is that from the VVE or not. I have found an article stating that the VVE must bear the costs for all building components such as roofs, facades and sometimes window frames, unless it has been changed in a division deed, but we cannot find anything about that.

I advise you to check the minutes of the members' meeting of the VVE in the period prior to the realization of the extension. It is possible that a decision was made about the extension (permission and maintenance agreements) while this was not recorded in an amendment to the division deed. Amending the division deed is often expensive because it then has to be amended for all members of the VVE and for that reason many VVEs choose to record such amended agreements only by means of ALV decisions.
