Next to our house, new construction is taking place in 2021. Next to our house is now a commercial building. After demolition this year, new construction will take place. We currently have no windows in the side wall on the construction side. But in our purchase agreement it states that we can make as many windows in our side wall as we would like. Our question is.. In order not to block the light in these windows, are we also obliged to install tinted windows? That we are allowed to make these windows is stated in our purchase agreement.

You say new construction, but is that new construction of residential houses or is there a new commercial building? The distances and size of the functions residential or commercial building and that of garden or green are stated in zoning plans and the drawings. The situation in your purchase contract must be assessed because I do not know now whether this is also an obligation to tolerate your windows by the neighbour and/or whether their function changes.
