What to do with promise Car garage/dealer

Questioner

I bought a car from a dealer. My requirement was that it had to be 100% technically. The promise was that the car would be checked and that it would receive a new MOT. The MOT report stated that the car had excessive oil leakage. I have indicated this but this is said to be from the past. Ok I believed the guy...but soon found out the car was leaking quite a bit of oil.... I had this repaired at a nearby garage. It was a timing belt problem. Costs €730. Sent an email to the dealer and received a polite email back saying that he wanted to resolve this for €300. It hurt me, but I accepted the offer because you often hear that they don't do anything with it. But the annoying thing is that the trader does not keep his promise. I am no longer getting any response via WhatsApp or email. It has now been more than a month since his promise. What to do? Thank you very much in advance 🙏

You have accepted an offer and you can prove it; this is a legally valid and enforceable agreement to settle a dispute. So, get back in touch and give a final date for payment.
