Employer failed to report recovery

Mid-March January 2021 my cousin was pressured by his employer. Report better and sign the settlement agreement! He reported himself better and signed the agreement. He was released from work until the date of dismissal. He did not fill out the application for a WIA, because he was better again. He did apply for benefits at the UWV. Now it turns out that the employer did not report his recovery. And the UWV therefore does not pay anything. How can things still be straightened out?

If I understand correctly, he is still ill? Then there is also a chance that he is still employed. The circumstances and the content of the VSO are important. I advise you to have his file assessed by me or one of my colleagues together with him.

When he is still ill -> WIA application. Or continue/still apply for the benefit. Or object to refusal. Yes/no better notification? If the employer has not reported the better notification, the employee can do so himself at the UWV. He must then really be better. Is he still ill -> see above. When the employer does not comply with the VSDO -> contact a specialized labor law attorney (member of the specialist association) as soon as possible, e.g. me. Often the first consultation is free, such as at my office.
