We have to pay €3471.13 within 5 days. What can I do now?

A company has sent an order to a collection agency. We have to pay €3471.13 within 5 days. Now we don't know the company at all and therefore don't use their products. They claim that there is a signed contract and that we do use their products. I have contacted this company. They claim that they cannot look into our data and cannot help us. They do claim that I am not telling the truth and that they have contacted me several times about outstanding invoices. This is not correct. So this letter comes completely unexpectedly. What can we do now?

I advise you to at least first request a copy of the signed contract. If they can't provide it to you, I find that strange.

Ask for a copy of that contract. You are entitled to it. After all, you must be able to check whether you have indeed signed it. If you have not signed, then there is nothing wrong. There are many companies that want to earn money (quickly) in this way. If you have signed unexpectedly, ask what they did for that money? After all, if they have not provided any services, you do not have to pay anything. Often these types of companies will let you go when you defend yourself. If not, go to a lawyer.
