What should I do if I have a conflict about an energy supplier?
Questioner
Energy, Ir/Madam, On behalf of a friend of mine, I would like to ask you the following question. She recently had a conflict with her previous energy supplier. She received a surcharge of 12,000 euros. She lives alone in an 80 square meter apartment. Incidentally, she now lives in France, but has kept her apartment. She turned off everything before leaving, except for 1 light that she has on a timer. This additional assessment is estimated and the supplier does not want to indicate how they arrived at this amount. The bailiff has been called in by the supplier and she has to pay this amount by, I believe, February 9. She does not have this amount. Now she is afraid that she will have to go to court and therefore wants to hire a lawyer or a legal expert, but in any case someone who can represent her interests at the subdistrict court for her. She cannot go to the Netherlands now because France is going to close the borders due to Covid19. I hope you can do something for her. You can approach me as a contact person. Thank you in advance and I look forward to your response. MariekeLawyer
Good afternoon, what an unpleasant situation. Madam can contact me if she wishes. We could assist her in this.Questioner
Thank you for your quick response. I can tell you in advance that if she needs a lawyer, she will look for a pro bono lawyer. I will definitely pass this on to her. Thanks again.Lawyer
I also handle cases based on subsidized legal aid, also called the addition. Whether someone qualifies for this depends on the level of the income and the assets of that person.Neem de volgende stap
