What can I do if I can no longer make ends meet because I am working fewer hours due to the lockdown?

I work in retail and have a 0-hour contract. On average I work 24 hours, and always at least 20 hours. Due to the lockdown, my working hours have been adjusted and I can only work 11 hours. I can't make ends meet with this. Is there anything I can do now?

Less work is a problem for the employer. He can probably also get a subsidy from the government (NOW scheme). You can then also claim payment for a minimum of 20 hours per week. If the employer refuses, go to a specialized labor law attorney (member of a specialist association) as soon as possible. The first consultation is often free, such as at my office.
