Liability for Flooring - Legal Aid

Questioner

My client wants me to lay a floor for him, but the floor is still too wet to do this. So my position is not to lay it yet. However, the customer does want this and wants to inform me by means of a letter in which he signs and indicates that he is responsible for all further damage. Am I then free from any further liability?

Lawyer

Yes, that is possible. Of course, that statement must be formatted correctly, so that the exclusion of liability is formatted correctly.

Lawyer

A statement must at least state that you advise negatively, why. The client must then declare that you can in no way be held liable for laying the floor on the too wet subsurface. Because there could be discussion about that connection, I would like to exclude all possible liability. My advice is to have this written down by a lawyer. The risk of getting into trouble later about high costs is too great to deal with this with an 'approximate' solution.
