Who decides: company doctor or psychiatrist?
Questioner
I have been admitted to the emergency department of a psychiatric hospital. The company doctor wants an accelerated trajectory in the hospital to get me back on the work floor quickly. The psychiatrist at the psychiatric hospital finds that very undesirable. He wants a 'normal' trajectory that takes longer. My question is: who has the final say in this matter: the company doctor or the psychiatrist at the psychiatric hospital? Both doctors agree on the existence of incapacity for work.Lawyer
The company doctor may deviate from the hospital's opinion, but it is difficult to avoid this if there is enough hard evidence that argues in favor of a normal treatment process. If you do not agree with the company doctor, you can consider a second opinion from another company doctor. If you cannot (yet) reach an agreement, I will look at your case.Take the next step
