Liability in a scooter accident: Free legal advice

Questioner

My underage daughter was so stupid to go to work as a delivery person with a scooter instead of a bicycle. I was not aware of this. She does not have a driver's license and this was not checked by the employer. Unfortunately, she had a collision with a car. Damage to the car and moped. The driver of the car initially acknowledged liability because no right of way was given. They would pay for the damage to the car themselves. However, they later reported to the employer with a claim form. Who is liable here? My daughter/I, employer, driver of the car? And can the employer file a complaint against my daughter?

Lawyer

Hopefully your daughter is doing well. You are normally liable for damage caused by your minor daughter. However, according to the law, the driver of the car is liable for 50% of the damage and the rest of the compensation will depend on whether your daughter is at fault. I advise you to hold the driver or his insurer liable. If there is injury, I advise you to engage a personal injury specialist who can represent your interests. If desired, I can help you further with this. Please contact me directly.
