The WW has reduced the payment of vacation days from my WW supplement. The payment took place because a contract change took place. Contract hours have been reduced to 32 hours instead of 40. How is it possible that the WW deducts vacation days built up from work? You have already worked for this, haven't you? I can't get a clear answer from the UWV.

Unused vacation days are paid out and this is counted as income that is deducted from the unemployment benefit. A reduction in contract hours can be a reason to pay out vacation days in the interim. The collective labor agreement can stipulate something about this. Thus a vacation day is seen as income and paid out (if not taken) usually at the end of the employment contract. If you have not accrued any vacation days, the UWV cannot include this as income.
