Employer's liability for damage to motorcycle
Questioner
I parked my motorcycle on the employer's own property. During my working hours, the asphalt turned out to have become soft due to heat. As a result, the stand of the motorcycle sank into the road surface and the motorcycle subsequently fell over. This resulted in the necessary damage. Is my employer liable for this damage?Lawyer
The employer is in principle liable for the damage on its own premises, unless there is intent or deliberate recklessness. The employer could perhaps have taken measures against the hot asphalt or warned employees. You may assume that the premises meet the requirements. You can therefore hold your employer liable for the damage by providing evidence. If you cannot reach an agreement, I would be happy to look at your case.Take the next step
