Legal Advice for Temporary Workers

Questioner

I was employed by a temporary employment agency within a company. I was in my last contract before I would have to leave for six months. Now the company has been taken over as of January 1st. As a result, I started again with my contracts without having been out for 6 months. I wondered if this is allowed? Isn't it true that I now have to be employed permanently? It concerns the same company, only under a different owner. And now I am not employed by the temporary employment agency but by the company.

It is allowed, but all contracts are added together and you are now in permanent employment or will be soon, even though it may say otherwise on paper. So if at any time you are sent home with the message that your temporary contracts have ended, you must object to this in order to safeguard your rights.
