Request a maintenance review?

Questioner

My ex-husband and I divorced in 2014. At the time, the court ruled that (because we both raise 1 child) he would not pay alimony. I am employed and my ex has his own business, where his partner also works. Now the oldest of almost 18 is out of the house with my ex, because of a BBL training he is doing. I take care of our youngest 24/7. Can I request a review of the maintenance payments now that the situation has changed? I also found out from my eldest that my ex does not contribute to the maintenance of the eldest. What can I do for him? He cannot make ends meet with what he earns himself now.

Lawyer

You can still claim child support owed up to the age of 18. The easiest (and cheapest!) way to do this is via the LBIO. The child support after that must be claimed by the child concerned (also via the LBIO).
