Employer Liability for Loss of Properties

last saturday i forgot to put my bag in the locker at work because i was in a hurry, now it was next to the locker but in a locked changing room where you can only enter with your pass. Now my bag with my wallet and all the cards (drivers license/bank etc.) and there was at least € 100,- taken/stolen. Charger etc. was also in it. Is work liable for this and can i claim this from the insurance? Of course it is my own fault that i did not put it in the locker, but the door is locked and only employees with a pass can enter. I would like to hear from you.

If a place has been set up and designated for storing your belongings and you fail to do so, you are usually liable for your own fault and damage, but in this case there is still an employer involved. In principle, that employer can be held liable for the unlawful act committed by one of his employees against the other (you).
