At the company where my husband works they are going to stop the part that my husband is specialized in. Now my husband has to specialize in another part of the company and take a course for this, he does not mind doing this but after that he has to work in shifts. My husband is 56 years old, is he still obliged to work these shifts? This is a company in large metal.

Provided that he is included as a specialized employee of 55 years or older in the collective labor agreement for metal and technology, the employer cannot oblige your husband to work shifts.
