A company did not collect the annual amount last April. They are now doing so in early September (one and a half years later), including part of this year's amount. The pre-announcement came in early September while we were on vacation. Is that company allowed to wait that long? By the way, there was no accompanying letter, as an explanation or something.

A company has two years to collect the claim. If something went wrong last year, it is polite and reasonable to contact you first, especially if it concerns a large amount. This is related to the care that contracting parties must have towards each other regarding the interests, and to act accordingly.
