Dismissal as a Dental Assistant? Discover your options!

Questioner

I have been working for the hospital as a dental assistant since March 1st. I work 24 hours a week. I usually work overtime every day. Now it is so that during my vacation I went through my back for 4 weeks and now I have lumbago. I have been working half days since last week. Now it is so that the lumbago was caused by stress at my work. I am a dental assistant, and have been hired for 3 days, I work 1 day at the chair and the other days I have to do administration. I have been told that I am unhappy with this situation because I feel more like a secretary than a dental assistant. I have already sat around the table twice with my team leader and colleagues to tackle the stress points. But I have now worked 3 half days and I notice that there is no improvement and nothing has changed. Now I have been invited by another dentist for an interview. Can I resign now that I work half days? I have a one-year contract with a notice period of 1 month. My team leader also keeps saying that I should not forget that I have a one-year contract. So in other words. If my situation does not improve at work, my contract will not be extended. I actually want to leave my current boss as soon as possible because this way I'm going under.
