Parental authority and visitation rights: advice for fathers

Questioner

I am in a dilemma here. My girlfriend and I recently broke up while we are now about nine months pregnant. I have already acknowledged the unborn child at the municipality but I do not have parental authority since the relationship ended before we could even arrange that. My ex no longer wants contact with me and I am currently also in the middle of a burnout for which I will soon have conversations, now my ex is making it dependent on those conversations whether I can see my son after his birth is that actually allowed? Can she use that as an argument? I totally disagree with that and that is why I recently called in mediation via the legal aid office but she declined. What steps do you recommend that I take now. I already have a 14-year-old daughter who I can only see twice a week if all goes well and the thought that I will soon be able to see my son so little or not at all makes me desperate

Lawyer

It is advisable for you to hire a lawyer who can request on your behalf to obtain parental authority as well as to obtain a division of care and upbringing tasks (a contact arrangement) so that you as a father can also be involved in your son's life. Such requests can only be submitted to the court by lawyers. If desired, you can contact me.
